What is a good score in POP?

POP uses two different scoring approaches, depending on which strategy you are using.

POP Pro: Content Brief

The Content Brief score is based on how closely your page follows the Important Terms Range shown in each section. Once your term count falls within the recommended range, you receive the available score for that section and can move to the next one.

The original guidance says many users begin seeing positive ranking movement around an 80% Content Brief score. If you can reach 100%, POP recommends doing so.

Compare Data: Signals Strategy

The Signals score is based on the recommendations in Advanced Analysis > Compare Data. Because those recommendations are derived from competitors, reaching 100% is not always possible or desirable.

Competitors may have made poor optimization decisions, so the Signals workflow requires more judgment. The source guidance says positive movement often begins around 60–70%, with 80–85% commonly considered a strong score. Page performance is ultimately more important than reaching a specific POP score.
