What are Page Structure Suggestions? Are they part of the optimization score?

Page Structure Suggestions do not affect either of POP's optimization scores.

They are intended to help you understand the type of page Google appears to reward for the target keyword.

They can answer questions such as:

• How many images should the page contain?
• Should the page use tables, lists, or forms?
• How many heading elements are common among competing pages?

The presence of those elements alone is unlikely to improve rankings. What matters is the content placed inside them.

For example, the Content Brief might recommend using 10–15 important terms in subheadings while Page Structure Suggestions recommend around five H2 tags. In that case, a reasonable implementation would be around five H2 headings containing roughly two to three important terms each.
