POP's Google Entities Dashboard

The Google Entities dashboard shows the entities and categories Google identifies in your content and in competing pages. It highlights shared items and missing items so you can see where your page may need more contextual coverage.

In general, a page optimized for a primary keyword will usually map to one or two categories. If important entities are missing, add the relevant terms together with enough surrounding context for Google to understand what those entities refer to.

What are Google Entities?

Entities are terms Google’s NLP system recognizes and associates with concepts such as people, locations, organizations, works of art, and other known topics.

What is NLP?

NLP stands for Natural Language Processing. It is the technology used to interpret language and understand what a page is about.
