PageOptimizer Pro Chrome Extension Guide

The POP Chrome Extension can be used in two main ways: to run/crawl a page from POP using your browser environment, and to view optimization recommendations directly inside the editor where you are working.

Installing and using the extension

Install the POP Chrome Extension from the Chrome Web Store and restart Chrome.

Run POP through the extension

1. When creating a PageRun, choose Exact Location to enable the extension workflow.
2. The extension will use your current browser location and settings while crawling the target page and competitors.
3. If you use a VPN or proxy, set the Google search engine country inside the extension for more relevant competitor results.

Use POP inside your editor

1. Complete a Page Optimization report in POP first.
2. Open your site editor or Google Doc and launch the POP Chrome Extension.
3. Sign in, confirm you are already logged in, or enter a Secret Key.
4. Confirm the correct PageRun and choose whether you are working on the website URL or in Google Docs.
5. Open the report and follow the Content Brief or Signals recommendations.
6. Make changes, save them, and use Check Your Work to update your score and term counts without creating a new PageRun.

Using a Secret Key

Secret Keys allow a writer or freelancer to access a specific PageRun without access to the main POP account. A new key can be generated when needed.
