Page-Level Keyword Research (Recommended Workflow)

Keyword research works best at the page level. For each page, choose one top-level keyword and build a silo of supporting keywords around that page.

If you are using Google Search Console

  1. Filter GSC to a recent period, choose the relevant location, and filter to the page URL you are optimizing.
  2. Sort queries by impressions and export the strongest candidates.
  3. Run the keyword list through POP Keyword Insights.
  4. Use Cluster with AI to identify the strongest primary keyword.

Good primary-keyword candidates generally combine strong impressions, achievable current rankings, and a healthy POP Keyword Score.

Supporting keywords

After selecting the top-level keyword, use 1-Click SILO or analyze GSC question queries to find supporting-content opportunities.

For supporting content, POP recommends looking for low-competition opportunities, including Keyword Golden Ratio values below 2.5 where possible.

Silo management

Use the Silo Dashboard to organize top-level and supporting keywords, monitor progress, run POP reports, and create supporting articles through POP AI Writer.
